We love special flavorings in our coffee, especially in the fall. But the price of coffee creamer has me wanting to go back to making my own. Here’s an inexpensive way to make your own custom powdered coffee creamer, which we like better than the liquid. Try this easy, powdered coffee creamer recipe!
What Kind of Ingredients Can Be Used to Make Flavored Powdered Coffee Creamer?
- Powdered Creamer – You can choose any type of powdered creamer. My personal preference would be something that had more natural ingredients in it, like Real Organics powdered creamer. Maybe available at a co-op. And this one has coconut sugar, so I would adjust the sugar amount. (not affiliated) You can also give powdered milk a try, and I might also give that a go.
- Sugar – You can use any type of powdered sugar for this. Maple sugar, coconut sugar, raw cane sugar, or just good ole’ powdered sugar. If you use raw can sugar or coconut sugar, I would get it more fine by putting it in the blender first.
- Ground Spice – Combination spices are very tasty, such as pumpkin spice, apple pie, chai, and more.
- Extract – Rum, Vanilla, Maple, Cream Cheese (yes), Chocolate! There are so many, just pick what goes with the spice. You can additionally add espresso powder for a little kick.
I was really surprised at trying different combinations and liking them much better than expensive liquid coffee creamer.
Mixing Up Ingredients for Powdered Creamer
Add everything to a bowl and then whisk until there are NO lumps. You want to make sure that the extract is mixed well.
This is simply too easy not to try. I’m starting to think a 5lb bucket is a good idea, but you better make sure you like your flavor combinations. You can make a new flavor bi-weekly if you stick to 3 1/2 c. 🙂
I hope you give it try! And if you want a delicious pumpkin tea cake, here’s a lovely recipe just for you. Print it out in color and put it in your recipe binder, it’s a keeper.
