Welcome to Joyous Home

We are so happy you have stopped by! We are the publishers for Seasons at Home Magazine. Seasons is a full-color, print publication created to encourage families and better prepare themselves through the passing on of life skills needed in the home. Seasons is filled with articles and projects that revolve around homeschooling, sewing, cooking and baking, gardening, Titus 2 encouragement, themed teas, father/son projects, and daughters at home. Meant to be a keepsake, each issue is graced with delightful photography for visual learners.

I just received my copy of Seasons At Home today and was so excited I sat down to read it right away. What a lovely magazine! I love all of it but particularly enjoyed the instructions for the two beautiful hairstyles for girls. I have two daughters and can't wait to try out the holiday hair-do's!

The June Block is up!

Do you like to quilt? Would you like to learn? Then come and join us in Quilting with Seasons! What is that? It's our new quilt block membership website! Every month starting in August, and every month for the next twelve months, we are going to make a quilt block. Each month we will have a new quilt block design, based around the month and season! We will be using lots of wonderful little techniques that may include (but are not limited to!) embroidery, applique`, ribbon and bead work, and perhaps some heirloom touches. So, by the end of next year, those who participate will have a complete, beautiful quilt of all the seasons! Additionally, our group has it's own private forum, to share support and encourage each other as we sew and create. (October block below)

June 2009 Quilt Block!There is no need to be an expert quilter, although some sewing skills are necessary. You will need a sewing machine and basic quilting supplies. We will provide a list on our site for you to browse before you purchase. We will give you step-by-step, pdf instructions, complete with pictures and video tutorials when available. The private forum will be great as you will also be able to interact with us with and ask questions!

At $5 a month, per block, with photo pdf instructions, we are keeping membership to this site very affordable. The site is up and running and we are having fun! All three blocks done so far, August through October have video pdfs as a bonus!

We have had so much fun sewing these blocks! We would love to have you come and join us as we sew and fellowship together.

The importer for the Bosch and Nutrimill has announced a price increase starting March 1st. We have not been given the prices as of yet. Now is the time to purchase if you would like the current pricing. Mills are no longer on backorder!
