Peach Cobbler with Sweet Shortcake

This recipe turned out very tasty! The shortcake is sweeter and it can be used with any fruit. It serves about 12 people. Oven 350°, grease 9" x 13" pan.

Cobbler:

• 6 1/2-7 c. soft peaches, cubed
• 1/2 c. brown sugar
• 1/2 c. white sugar
• 2 TBSP corn or potato starch
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• 1/4-1/2 tsp. ginger
• 2 TBSP. lemon juice
• 2 tsp. vanilla

Shortcake:

• 3 c. flour
• 1 tsp. salt
• 3 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 3/4 c. sugar
• 16 oz. frozen butter
• 1 c. buttermilk
