He called to let the "supervisor" know he would be late. Then, he patiently, diligently changed it; the spare was flat, he noticed. He carefully put it on; then slowly drove a very short distance to a place to air it up; the machine was "out of order." ... okay, Lord .... Then, he called (thank You, Lord, for a "free" cell phone he had with him) a good friend, who was (after a while) able to come, with an air compressor, to fill up the spare tire. Then, they made sure it had enough air in it. He drove on to work. (not far away) Then, I slowly drove home. Well, I was to get my son to a VBS, that evening. ... anyway, ... that worked out, thanks to The Lord. And then, went on to a Ladies' Bible Study with some other ladies from our church, and two of my daughters. ;o) (one is grown & works nearby) We do not usually have so much going on, in one day. But The Lord's Grace was more than enough. ... I think it all means The Lord is wanting me to learn more about showing a patient, willing-to-submit-to-His-Will kind of heart. ... I only had 10 minutes to run into the quilting store on my way to Austin. It was 103 degrees outside. Had baby on my hip, 3 year old daughter in tow, and my seven year old son decided he was going to use his *worst* manners with the store attendants. Put him in time out in the front of the store. I said, "I don't have much time! I need 2 yards each of five coordinated fabrics! And I would love for them to look 'seaside-ish.'" One lady showed me some prints with seashells. Ugh! Not exactly what I meant. <br /><br />I saw a shelf with some BEAUTIFUL prints, grabbed five, asked her to cut them (while having to continually correct dear rude son). I then decided to look at the price. Ten bucks a yard. Wow! (My mental calculator was working). Oh, yes. Well, they are Moda fabrics. <br /><br />Paid bill while wondering what to tell husband. Theresa Powers on Monday, 14 June 2010 19:47That would be fun! We are using Jennie's Simple Gathered Shift pattern that her mother made, she taught it in one of our seminars last year. She is teaching the pinafores/pantaloons in our July seminar : )!
I'm going to attempt to video tape our tea shoot :) We are going to a state park here, it should be fun.

I was trying to figure out a way to quickly get line designs from our photos... not sure if that makes sense? I wanted to do cross stitch projects in the magazine, but I want to do my own designs to publish =) Wool embroidery is next on my list, hopefully for Christmas =)

Sarah-Anne Behan on Monday, 05 July 2010 21:51I've been working on a cross-stitch sampler for over two years!!! I started it just after I got married, and have slowly kept it going. I'm about 3/4's of the way. It's very pretty, with mainly flowers as a border, with the date of our wedding in the middle. Hopefully I will get a camera soon, so I can post a pic...And finish it!!!
