When you want to add a new recipe, start a new discussion!  Why add recipes to "Discussions"? Two reasons:

1.  The photo albums are great for uploading lots of photos at one time, but the only place to add the recipe is in the comment section and there is no text editor in the comment section. That means there is no way to keep spaces between lines, the recipe will be jumbled together in one run-on paragraph!

2. We couldn't rename "Discussions" to "Recipes" for this group. So what is really our recipe box, is just called "Discussions" =)

3.  To create a discussion, hit show all discussions in the discussion topic bar.  You will then be taken to all the recipes and at the top right hand corner, click create discussion.

You are still welcome to use the photo albums and we hope everyone does! Just know that for photos you would like to add the recipe with, especially if it's long, it's easier to add it to Discussions. You can still add photos to the recipe as well, because there is an editor!  *To add a photo, click the button with the image of the tree on bottom row of the editor bar.

Happy cookin' everyone!

We decided to have hamburgers, but I'm making them special, bacon, pepperjack and stuff. Then we are having bean salad, sweet potato fries and deviled eggs (man's best friend) lol... Jessica is a making a pound/jello/berry concoction for dessert. I'll post my bean salad recipe, it's going to have fresh corn, peppers, onions, two types of beans and other yum stuff in it.

I wish I had some good 4th of July recipes. We are doing a lot of BBQ-ing. This is when we head up to the mountains all weekend and play. The only tradition we have is doing a poke-cake, which I think everyone knows how to make. You just use a white cake mix and when it is finished (baked), poke holes using a fork or knife. Then use jello (any flavor) and mix and pour the hot liquid into the holes of the cake. Let cool in fridge and add whip cream like as a frosting to the top of the cake. We like adding strawberries and blueberries and making it look like a flag. Easy and simple. :)

Anyone want to post some 4th of July recipes? We'll post what we are going to try to make later on today! I'm going to price out ribs, there are a few sales around, but we don't have a grill yet (someone took it off our deck when we moved lol) so I would have to try them in the oven.
Would love to hear what everyone is cookin up!
